Michigan Jumps Into Top-25

It’s been over a year, but they’re finally back in it.

After being ranked in the AP-Top 25 for 76-straight weeks, Michigan snapped that record as well at the beginning of last season and didn’t crack the rankings at anytime last season. Well, just two weeks into 2009 and the Wolverines are the 25th ranked team according to the polls.

Michigan is in great shape to keep their spot in the top-25, as they host Eastern Michigan (0-2) on Saturday and play their first Big Ten Conference game against Indiana the following week, both at home. The schedule finally heats up after Indiana, as the Wolverines head to East Lancing for a showdown with Michigan State then a Saturday Night game in Iowa City against the Hawkeyes a week later.

Hey guys, just wanted to update on the latest blog entry. I noted that I’d be posting articles between Tuesday and Friday, but time this week is extremely cramped, so i’ll try my best to get one or two articles up about the Michigan-Notre Dame game this weekend. The game preview itself will be posted on either Thursday night or Saturday morning, I haven’t decided on which yet but Friday is a busy day for me and i’ll haev no time.

What’s to come during the week ahead

After a solid 31-7 opening day win over Western Michigan, the Wolverines now focus their attentions to a hated-rival in Notre Dame. The Irish (1-0) recorded a 35-0 shutout win over the Nevada Wolfpack at Notre Dame Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

With a big game coming up, i’ll have stories leading up to the game, which is on Saturday, 3:30 P.M. on ABC. I’ll have memories of past games, a look back on the rivalry itself, and of course the game preview itself, which will be posted on Friday night. So make sure to check back for that.
